If you have any questions that aren’t addressed here, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to answer any of your questions.

Q. How do we order our images?2019-10-17T10:19:17-04:00

A.  Approximately 2 weeks after your session, we will meet at my studio for an ordering appointment, where we will proof your images and we will guide you through your choices for wall art, prints, and cards.

Q. What if I want a family portrait with my pet?2019-10-17T10:19:50-04:00

A.  Look through our gallery for examples of our relaxed portraiture of people and their pets. If you would like to be in some images with your animals, we’d love to capture you in our signature style.

Q. What if my pet isn’t very well behaved?2019-10-17T10:22:57-04:00

A.  We recommend walking your pet before his or her session, as a tired pet is usually a polite pet! Keeping your pet a little hungry is also helpful, because they are more likely to respond to the occasional treat. Beyond that, we are able to capture fantastic images with the rowdiest pets, so don’t worry…your session will be special regardless of how Rover behaves.

Q. How would you describe your photography style?2019-10-17T10:24:49-04:00

A. My style is really a hybrid. My inspiration comes from so many different places, and I try to implement these muses in my images. I love the raw emotion of photojournalism and the power of classic portraiture. I mainly shoot with natural, soft lighting and choosing locations that your pets feel comfortable in so that they remain the focal point of their pictures.

I am an observer most of the time, with very limited intrusion only when your pet needs a little encouragement. Ninety percent of my images are completely natural and unposed, and those are the ones that our clients usually discover end up being their favorites!

Q. Who owns the copyright of my adorable pet’s photography?2017-04-12T16:40:59-04:00

A.  According to U.S. Copyright Law, I do as the creator of the photographs.  When you purchase any artwork files from your pet’s photo session, you’re actually purchasing a license to use the photography for personal use and not to sell for profit.   You will need to sign a Print Release form for any artwork files you receive from Paws & Prints.

Q. Do you sell high-resolution digital artwork files?2020-10-21T11:06:00-04:00

A.  In short, no. As an artist, I’m very passionate about beautiful pet photography and believe that these memories should be proudly displayed in your home to share with family and friends instead of on a DVD sitting in a drawer somewhere collecting dust bunnies.

You were drawn to my work for a reason, so you can rest easy and trust my artistic vision and expertise in creating perfect photos of your beloved friend which I know will look gorgeous displayed in your home. I’m very confident you will be thrilled when you see your finished custom artwork for the first time!

However, when you spend $500 or more on custom artwork, you will receive all of the low-resolution digital proof images (perfect for social media, email, texts, and digital photo frames) from your pet’s photo shoot.

Q. What happens if bad weather occurs on the day of our scheduled photo shoot?2016-02-21T17:55:57-05:00

A.  I will contact you to reschedule the photo session for another mutually agreeable date, time and location. Unfortunately in Florida, one must assume that there will be wacky weather (especially during summer) and it’s best to just go with the flow. One thing I can tell you for sure is when we finally have our photo session, it will be worth any minor weather-related inconveniences because we will all have so much fun and the photos will look great!

If you’re on a tight schedule and your home gets a lot of natural indoor light, we can always hold the photo session inside your home on the originally scheduled date.

Q. When is payment for the custom artwork due?2017-04-12T16:42:03-04:00

A.  Payment for any custom artwork is due in full at the time your order is placed. This will be done through PayPal®.

Q. How do I pay for the Creative Fee to secure my pet’s session date?2017-04-12T16:43:00-04:00

A.  After we discuss details of your pet’s photo shoot and agree upon a date, time and location for the shoot, I will send you an invoice for the Creative Fee from PayPal® which will allow you to pay by credit card, debit card or your bank account. Please note that the Creative Fee is non-refundable.

Q. I have no idea exactly what custom artwork I would love to display in my home. Can you help me decide what will look best?2016-02-14T16:10:23-05:00

A.  Most definitely! One of my other passions is interior decorating and I have developed a keen eye for color and artwork placement. I also have a fantastic software program that will allow us to take photos of various rooms in your home and show us exactly what the finished artwork will look like when displayed on your walls. This will eliminate any guesswork since everything shown in the program will be to scale and will help you feel confident in your custom artwork investment.

Q. I have no idea where I’d like to have the photography session. Can you help me find the perfect location?2016-02-14T16:07:31-05:00

A.  I’d be thrilled to help you choose a location! If you don’t want to hold the session in the comfort of your home or backyard (where your pet will be most at ease and relaxed), I have a list of locations throughout Collier and Lee Counties that will provide beautiful backdrops for our shoot.

Please be advised that these are public locations which means your pet will need to be leashed at all times. But don’t let that stop you from choosing any of these locations – I can magically remove leashes with editing software.

Q. Will you photograph pets and their humans?2016-02-14T16:07:59-05:00

A.  Of course! I love showing the strong spiritual connection between pet and owner through candid shots. These shots are the perfect way to capture the genuine love between you and your pet and will allow me to create engaging and emotive artwork that will fill your soul for years to come.

Q. What kind of pets will you photograph?2016-02-21T17:58:29-05:00

A.  I was 8 years old when I received my first pet – a sweet little guinea pig. Since then, I’ve had any pet you could imagine: mice, parakeets, parrots, turtles, iguanas, fish, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs and cats. So I know firsthand that love has no boundaries when it comes to the size or type of animal and will be happy to photograph whatever kind of pet you have.

However, I will not photograph any venomous animals (snakes, spiders, etc.) or any pet that has serious aggressive behavior towards humans for both my safety and the well-being of your pet.
